Canada is the second-largest country in the world. It is larger than China but has much fewer people. It is full of beautiful sceneries. In order to improve my English, I come to Canada for a three---month study. Now I’d like to share my exciting experience with you. 1 The long journeyWe got on the bus to HongKong at 9:00am on June 5, 2006. We got to Hong Kong at 1:00pm. then we spent 17 hours flying to our destination-------Toronto. We arrived at the airport late at night.(10 pm local time).The trip made me so tired.2. weather It is dry and cool here. You don’t feel hot even when you walk in the sun. The air is very clean. It doesn’t rain a lot here while it’s often rainy in Guangzhou in summer. The daytime is longer than nigh time. It isn’t completely dark until even 10 at night and you can see the sunshine at 4 in the morning. 3. School We study in Columbia International College, although it is a college, it is far smaller than English School. There are only 3 buildings, but I like it very much. The students here are from all over the world, and there are many Chinese students. All students here can speak very fluent English. We are well taken care of by the green team and the nurse here.4. Residence Two or three of us share a room. There is an air conditioner in every room. Our room is small but comfortable for us to live in. Every morning we are waken up by the English broadcast, then we know we are in Canada to study English. We have five hall masters in our building. They are all very kind and helpful. When some students are sick, they take us to the hospital in their own cars. 5. Class We are divided into three classes. There are not more than 20 in each. The foreign teachers are young and beautiful. Sonya is my class teacher. She always has interesting classes. She tells us funny stories and plays a lot of games I can learn a lot from the classes and enjoy myself every day.6. Food The cooks in the dinning room of Columbia International College are from different countries, some are from China. They cook different kinds of meals, so we can have different kinds of food every day. For example, yesterday they cooked spaghetti, today they cook chicken soup. I can enjoy special food from different countries every day. 7. Daily life From Monday to Friday, I usually get up at 7:00am, then I have breakfast and have 4 classes in the morning. After lunch, I have 4 classes until 3:30pm. When the school is over, I always have a rest or watch TV. Sometimes I play table tennis. In the evening, I do my homework or do some reading. At weekends I usually stay in bed until 8:30am, then I watch the World Cup and have brunch at 11 o’clock. I go to see the beautiful scenery in Canada in the afternoon. Last Sunday, we went to the biggest waterfalls in the world--------the Niagara Waterfalls. The falls are so magnificent! I had never seen such great waterfalls before. This is my first week in Canada. I like everything in Canada, including its air and sceneries. I am sure I will have wonderful life here every day. I will tell you more next time.
